and if this is heard of by the procurator we will satisfy him and secure you.

And Jesus immediately permitted them. And the impure spirits going out entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down a precipice into the lake, about two thousand, and were drowned in the lake.

And he said to them, Well did Isaiah prophecy of you, hypocrites, as it is written; This people honors me with the lips, but their heart is far from me;

because it enters not into his heart, but into the stomach, and goes out to the earth, purifying all aliments?

And he charged them, saying, Observe and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

And Jesus said to them, Because of your hardness of heart, he wrote you this ordinance;

And he spoke and said to it, Let no one eat fruit of you forever! And his disciples heard him.

I tell you truly, that whoever shall say to this mountain, be raised up and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says will be done, whatever he says shall be done for him.

David himself calls him Lord, and whence is he his son? And the great multitude heard him gladly.

And when they heard him they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might betray him at a convenient time.

And all who heard him were astonished at his understanding and his answers.

AND in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being procurator of Judea, and Herod tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother tetrarch of Ituria and the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanias being tetrarch of Abilene,

But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him on account of Herodias his brother's wife and for all the evil deeds which Herod had done,

And there was a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain, and they besought him to permit them to enter into them; and be permitted them.

And the demons going out of the man entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down the precipice into the lake and were drowned.

And Herod the tetrarch heard all things which were done, and was perplexed, because it was said by some that John was raised from the dead,

And Herod said, John I beheaded; but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he sought to see him.

For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which you see, and have not seen them, and to hear the things which you hear, and have not heard them.
