For if Jesus had given them rest, then he would not afterward have spoken of another day.

For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then would no place have been sought for the second.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once cleansed, would have had no more conscience of sins.
