But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. You are all children of light, and children of the day. We do not belong to the night, nor to darkness,










In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both.

The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light to you: but the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.

For you will light my lamp, LORD. My God will light up my darkness.






In that day there will be on the bells of the horses, "HOLY TO THE LORD;" and the pots in the LORD's house will be like the bowls before the altar.


And a highway will be there, and a way, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools will not go there.


They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it a writing, like the engravings of a signet: "HOLY TO THE LORD."






and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then your light shall rise in darkness, and your obscurity be as the noonday;

















But you shall be named the priests of the LORD; men will call you the ministers of our God: you will eat the wealth of the nations, and you will boast in their glory.













What one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for himself as a people, and to make himself a name, and to do great things for you, and awesome things for your land, before your people, whom you redeemed for yourself out of Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
