Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Sanhedrin who was himself looking forward to the kingdom of God, came and boldly went in to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.



So they stayed there for some time and spoke boldly in reliance on the Lord, who testified to the message of His grace by granting that signs and wonders be performed through them.

Then he entered the synagogue and spoke boldly over a period of three months, engaging in discussion and trying to persuade them about the things of the kingdom of God.



For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged by men in the fleshly realm, they might live by God in the spiritual realm.





In that state He also went and made a proclamation to the spirits in prison

Then Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.

So they went out and traveled from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing everywhere.

When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

When it was decided that we were to sail to Italy, they handed over Paul and some other prisoners to a centurion named Julius, of the Imperial Regiment.

When we entered Rome, Paul was permitted to stay by himself with the soldier who guarded him.

The next day we put in at Sidon, and Julius treated Paul kindly and allowed him to go to his friends to receive their care.

In the church that was at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.




This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught the things about Jesus accurately, although he knew only John’s baptism.

But Paul and Barnabas, along with many others, remained in Antioch teaching and proclaiming the message of the Lord.



John said to Him, "Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in Your name, and we tried to stop him because he wasn't following us." "Don't stop him," said Jesus, "because there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name who can soon afterwards speak evil of Me. For whoever is not against us is for us.

But if someone says to you, "This is food offered to an idol," do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for conscience' sake. I do not mean your own conscience, but the other person's. For why is my freedom judged by another person's conscience? Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God's glory. Give no offense to the Jews or the Greeks or the church of God,


But each man will sit under his grapevine and under his fig tree with no one to frighten [him]. For the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has promised [this]. Though all the peoples each walk in the name of their gods, we will walk in the name of Yahweh our God forever and ever.
