And when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with him, then he heard the Voice speaking to him from above the mercy-seat that was upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim, and he spoke to him.

And thou shall make two cherubim of gold; of beaten work shall thou make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat.

And he carved [thereon] cherubim and palm trees and open flowers. And he overlaid them with gold fitted upon the graven work.

And the cherubim spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, with their faces one to another. The faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy-seat.

So the people sent to Shiloh, and they brought from there the ark of the covenant of LORD of hosts, who sits [above] the cherubim. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long; the wing of the one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing was [likewise] five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.


LORD reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits [above] the cherubim, let the earth be moved.

And above it were cherubim of glory overshadowing the place of forgiveness, about which things it is not now to speak in detail.


And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fortified cities and of country villages, even to the great stone on which they set down the ark of LORD, [which

And they put the ark of LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their tumors.

Then they said, What shall be the trespass-offering which we shall return to him? And they said, Five golden tumors, and five golden mice, [according to] the number of the lords of the Philistines, for one plague was on you all, an Therefore ye shall make images of your tumors, and images of your mice that mar the land. And ye shall give glory to the God of Israel. Perhaps he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
