For the day of the LORD of the hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Tau Thou hast called as to a day of solemnity my terrors from everywhere, so that in the day of the LORD's anger no one escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up my enemy has consumed.

Do not let the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they stumbled and fell toward the north by the river Euphrates. Who is this that comes up as a flood, whose waters move as rivers? Egypt rises up like a flood, and his waters move like rivers; and he said, I will go up and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and its inhabitants. Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow.
