Thematic Bible: Jesus Christ doing the will of God the father

Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Then they said to him, Who are you? And Jesus said to them, What at the beginning, and what I tell you [now]. I have many things to say and judge of you; but he that sent me is true; and what I have heard from him, these things I speak in the world. Then Jesus said to them, When you shall lift up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am [the Christ]; and I do nothing of myself; but I speak these things as the Father has taught me; and he having sent me is with me, he has not left me alone, for I always do the things which please him.

But Jesus answered them, My Father works even till now, and I work. Then, for this reason, the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath but also said, that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. Then Jesus answered and said to them, I tell you most truly, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do; for whatever he does, these things also does the Son in like manner. read more.
For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things which he does; and greater works than these will he show him, that you may wonder.

Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you, that you have seen me and believe not. Every thing which the Father gives to me shall come to me, and him that comes to me I will by no means cast out; read more.
for I came down from heaven not to do my will, but the will of him that sent me.

Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents, but that the works of God might appear in him. I must perform the works of him that sent me, while it is day; night comes when no man can work.

Jesus answered and said to him, If any one loves me he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our mansion with him. He that loves me not, keeps not my words; and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's that sent me. I have said these things to you while yet continuing with you, read more.
but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, which the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and remind you of all things which I have told you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you; not as the world gives give I to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard that I said to you, I will go away and come to you. If you loved me you would rejoice because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it occurs, that when it occurs you may believe. JESUS spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee, as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that as to all that thou hast given him he should give them eternal life. then I said, Behold, I come,??n the volume of the book it is written of me,??o do thy will, O God. Saying before, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou didst not desire and wast not pleased with, which are offered according to the law, then he said, Behold, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second, by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.
