Now [when] the Pharisee who invited him saw [this], he spoke to himself, saying, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what kind of woman [this is] who is touching him, that she is a sinner."
And both the Pharisees and the scribes were complaining, saying, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them!"
And when he came to the place, Jesus looked up [and] said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down quickly, because it is necessary [for] me to stay at your house today!" And he came down quickly and welcomed him joyfully. And [when they] saw [it], they all began to complain, saying, "He has gone in to find lodging with a man who is a sinner!"

And behold, a woman in the town who was a sinner, [when she] learned that he was dining in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of perfumed oil, and standing behind [him] at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with [her] tears and was wiping [them] with the hair of her head and was kissing his feet and anointing [them] with the perfumed oil. One owed five hundred denarii and the other fifty. [When] they were not able to repay [him], he forgave [the debts] of both. Now which of them will love him more?" Simon answered [and] said, "I suppose that [it is the one] to whom he forgave more." And he said to him, "You have judged correctly." And turning toward the woman, he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered into your house. You did not give me water for [my] feet, but she wet my feet with [her] tears and wiped [them] with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but from the time I entered, she has not stopped kissing my feet. Now the scribes and the Pharisees brought to him a woman caught in adultery. And standing her in [their] midst, they said to him, testing [him], "Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery! Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?" read more.
(Now they were saying this to test him, so that they would have [an occasion] to bring charges against him.) But Jesus, bending down, began to write with [his] finger on the ground, taking no notice. And when they persisted in asking him, straightening up he said to them, "The [one] of you without sin, let him throw the first stone at her!" And bending down again, he wrote on the ground. Now [when they] heard [it], being convicted by their conscience, they began to depart, one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone--and the woman who was in [their] midst. So Jesus, straightening up and seeing no one except the woman, said to her, "Where are those accusers of yours? Does no one condemn you?" And she said, "No one, Lord." So Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more."]]

[There] shall not be found among you one who makes his son or his daughter go through the fire, [or] {one who practices divination}, [or] an interpreter of signs, or an augur, or sorcerer,

and [although they] wanted to arrest him, they were afraid of the crowds, because they looked upon him as a prophet.
And fear seized [them] all, and they began to glorify God, saying, "A great prophet has appeared among us!" and "God has visited to help his people!"
Nevertheless, it is necessary [for] me to be on the way today and tomorrow and on the next [day], because it is not possible [for] a prophet to perish outside Jerusalem.
And he said to them, "What [things]?" So they said to him, "The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, a man who was a prophet, powerful in deed and word before God and all the people,
The woman said to him, "Sir, I see that you are a prophet.
Now [when] the people saw the sign that he performed, they began to say, "This one is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world!"
Then, [when they] heard these words, [some] from the crowd began to say, "This man is truly the Prophet!"
So they said to the blind man again, "What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?" And he said, "He is a prophet."
This man came to him at night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that [you are] a teacher who has come from God, for no one is able to perform these signs that you are performing unless God were with him."
"Yahweh your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your midst, from your countrymen, [and] to him you shall listen.
"This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, 'God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.'
And it will be [that] every soul who does not listen to that prophet will be destroyed utterly from the people.'
how will we escape [if we] neglect so great a salvation which had [its] beginning [when it] was spoken through the Lord [and] was confirmed to us by those who heard,
Moses said, 'The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You will listen to him in everything that he says to you. And it will be [that] every soul who does not listen to that prophet will be destroyed utterly from the people.'

{who say}, "{Keep to yourself}! You must not come near me, for I am [too] holy for you!" These [are] a smoke in my {nostrils}, a fire burning all day.
having known me for a long time, if they are willing to testify, that in accordance with the strictest party of our religion I lived [as] a Pharisee.
