Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a broken pottery covered with silver dross.

God is mighty, but does not despise men. He is mighty in strength of understanding. He does not keep the wicked alive but gives the afflicted their rights. He does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous. He enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.

The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold but Jehovah proves the heart.
