The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the Lord will be exalted and safe.

But he who trusts in and relies on the Lord shall be surrounded with compassion and lovingkindness.
The Lord is good,
A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble;

“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord

And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.

Which You have stored up for those who [reverently] fear You,

Then will they call upon me [Wisdom] but I will not answer; they will seek me early and diligently but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord, Would accept none of my counsel, and despised all my reproof, Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way and be satiated with their own devices. For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, and the careless ease of [self-confident] fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkens to me [Wisdom] shall dwell securely and in confident trust and shall be quiet, without fear or dread of evil.
