However, the man whom God raised did not experience decay.

This is how it will be at the resurrection of the dead. What is planted is decaying, what is raised cannot decay.

Brothers, this is what I mean: Mortal bodies cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and what decays cannot inherit what does not decay.

The wicked will turn back to where the dead are all the nations that have forgotten God.

The ropes of death were wound around me and the anguish of Sheol came upon me; I encountered distress and sorrow.

Since Sheol and Abaddon lie open in the LORD's presence, how much more the hearts of human beings!


Binding ropes from Sheol entangled me while lethal snares hindered me.

These things are higher than the heavens, so what can you do? They are deeper than Sheol, so what can you know?
