the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous enduring punishment unto the day of judgment;
And He calleth to Him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two, and was giving them authority over the unclean spirits; and He charged them that they should take nothing for the way, except a staff only; no bread, no wallet, no money in their girdle; but to go shod with sandals; and He said, put not on two coats. read more.
And He said to them, "Wheresoever ye enter into a house, there abide, till ye depart thence. And whatsoever place does not receive you, and they hear you not, going forth thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony to them."

Heal the sick; raise the dead; cleanse the lepers; cast oat demons; freely ye received, freely give. Procure neither gold, nor silver, nor brass, for your girdles; nor wallet for your journey, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the laborer is worthy of his food. "And into whatsoever city or village ye enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there abide till ye go forth. And, as ye are coming into the house, salute it: and, if, indeed, the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but, if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And, whosoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye are going forth out of that house or city, shake off the dust, of your feet. Verily I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
