My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
The righteous chooses his friends carefully: but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those that are bowed down.
The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne.
Blessed is the man that endures trial: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.read more.
Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to test you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, since you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
And it came to pass, when he had finished speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man you shall not go: Lest you learn his ways, and get a snare to your soul.
Open rebuke is better than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning fever, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
