Of these men, therefore, who accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us, must one be made a witness with us of his resurrection.
But the author of life ye killed; whom God raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.
And with great power did the apostles give their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; and great grace was upon them all.

and every day, in the temple, and in houses, they ceased not to teach, and to publish the glad tidings concerning Jesus the Christ.
And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them, and said, It doth not seem to us proper, that we should leave the word of God, and provide for tables.
if, indeed, ye heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given me toward you, that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ;read more.

Besides the other troubles, there is that which presseth upon me daily, the anxiety for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is in danger of stumbling, and I do not burn?
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel!
But ye will receive power when the Holy Spirit hath come upon you; and ye will be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, even as the Spirit gave them utterance.
whereby, when ye read, ye may perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ; which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
And the apostles at Jerusalem, hearing that Samaria had received the word of God, sent to them Peter and John; who, having come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.
