Understand therefore this day, that the LORD your God is he who goes over before you; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before your face: so shall you drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said unto you.
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of your fathers has said unto you; fear not, neither be discouraged.
Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
You shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand you still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
For I have given unto them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him:
And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil;
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD takes my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret place of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

For you are my hope, O Lord GOD: you are my trust from my youth. By you have I been upheld from birth: you are he that took me out of my mother's womb: my praise shall be continually of you.
My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.

Therefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and are established in the present truth.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:
Beloved, if our heart condemns us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteems anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumbling block to them that are weak. For if any man sees you who have knowledge eating in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him who is weak be encouraged to eat those things which are offered to idols; And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
For how shall it be known here that I and your people have found grace in your sight? is it not in that you go with us? so shall we be separated, I and your people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in your sight, then show me a sign that you talk with me.
And Zachariah said unto the angel, How shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well advanced in years.
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: but you would not.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceful habitation, and in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

But continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
