And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business on great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, who lifts up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. The LORD has chastened me severely: but he has not given me over unto death.
LORD, in trouble have they visited you, they poured out a prayer when your chastening was upon them.
Therefore he has poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it has set him on fire all around, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
