And if any one takes part in an athletic contest, he gets no prize unless he obeys the rules.

But every competitor in an athletic contest practices abstemiousness in all directions. Therefore strengthen the drooping hands and paralysed knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put entirely out of joint
