Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.
So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.
But encourage yourselves each day, as long as it is called To-day, that none of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
But ye, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to the work of the ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;
Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if there be any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear it.
For the rest, brethren, rejoice; be perfected; be encouraged; be of one mind; be at peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
from whom the whole body, fitted together, and connected by every joint of supply, according to the working in its measure of each one part, works for itself the increase of the body to its self-building up in love.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to, for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief by night. When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape.read more.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief: for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness. So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober; for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night; but we being of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet the hope of salvation; because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with him.
What is it then, brethren? whenever ye come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to edification.
Thus ye also, since ye are desirous of spirits, seek that ye may abound for the edification of the assembly.
