because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual power of wickedness in the heavenlies.

Beloved, take not as strange the fire of persecution which has taken place amongst you for your trial, as if a strange thing was happening to you; but as ye have share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that in the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exultation.
For this reason take to you the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
But encourage yourselves each day, as long as it is called To-day, that none of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

in order that he may give you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power by his Spirit in the inner man;
I have strength for all things in him that gives me power.
Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:
For this reason take to you the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
