And you shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of Yahweh, and a headband of royalty in the hand of your God.
I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on him his crown will flourish."
Now his eyes [were] a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many royal headbands having a name written that no one except he himself knows.
You made him for a short [time] lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor; you subjected all [things] under his feet. For in subjecting all [things], he left nothing [that was] not subject to him. And also if anyone competes he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
So then, my beloved and greatly desired brothers, my joy and crown, thus stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.
For who [is] our hope or joy or crown of boasting? [Is it] not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming?
And everyone who competes exercises self-control in all [things]. Thus those [do so] in order that they may receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable [one].
