Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,
[You are] the hope of Israel, its savior in time of distress. Why should you be like an alien in the land, or like a traveler who spreads out [his tent] to spend the night?
Yahweh, the hope of Israel, all [those who] forsake you will be put to shame, and [those who] turn aside from you in the earth will be recorded, for they have forsaken the fountain of living water, Yahweh.
He will not grow faint, and he will not be broken until he has established justice in the earth. And [the] coastlands wait for his teaching.
Therefore for this reason I have requested to see you and to speak with [you], for because of the hope of Israel I am wearing this chain!"
And again Isaiah says, "The root of Jesse will come, even the one who rises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will put their hope." Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
And this shall happen on that day: [the] nations shall inquire of the root of Jesse, which shall be standing as a signal to [the] peoples, and his resting place shall be glorious.
For to this [end] we labor and suffer reproach, because we have put our hope in [the] living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of believers.
who through him [are] believing in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
Now [when] Paul realized that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he shouted out in the Sanhedrin, "Men [and] brothers! I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees! I am being judged concerning the hope and the resurrection of the dead!"
in the hope of eternal life which God, who does not lie, promised before eternal ages,
For this [reason] my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced greatly, furthermore also my flesh will live in hope, because you will not abandon my soul in Hades, nor will you permit your Holy One to experience decay.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices. Yes, my body will dwell in safety,
having a hope in God which these [men] also themselves await: [that] there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
For in hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what he sees?
If {we have put our hope} in Christ in this life only, we are of all people most pitiable.
so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
And we desire each one of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the full assurance of [your] hope until the end,
(for the law [made] nothing perfect), but on the other hand [there is] the introduction of a better hope through which we draw near to God.
Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
through whom also we have [obtained] access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
to whom God wanted to make known what [is] the glorious wealth of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,
looking forward to the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
For I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy [to be compared] with the glory that is about to be revealed to us. For the eagerly expecting creation awaits eagerly the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation has been subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of the one who subjected [it], in hoperead more.
that the creation itself also will be set free from its servility to decay, into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
For indeed what had been glorified has not been glorified in this case, on account of the glory that surpasses [it]. For if what was transitory [came] with glory, by much more what remains [is] with glory. Therefore, [because we] have such a hope, we use much boldness,
For through the Spirit by faith we eagerly await the hope of righteousness.
For who [is] our hope or joy or crown of boasting? [Is it] not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming?
But [because] we are of the day, we must be sober, [by] putting on the breastplate of faith and love and [as] a helmet the hope of salvation,
Finally, the crown of righteousness is reserved for me, that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.
And not only [this], but we also boast in our afflictions, [because we] know that affliction produces patient endurance, and patient endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope,
And now these three [things] remain: faith, hope, [and] love. But the greatest of these [is] love.
rejoicing in hope, enduring in affliction, being devoted to prayer,
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
bears all [things], believes all [things], hopes all [things], endures all [things].
if indeed you remain in the faith, established and steadfast and not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
but Christ [was faithful] as a son over his house, whose house we are, if we hold fast to our confidence and the hope we can be proud of.
but set Christ apart [as] Lord in your hearts, always ready to [make] a defense to anyone who asks you [for] an accounting concerning the hope [that is] in you.
[since we] heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope reserved for you in heaven, which you have heard about beforehand in the word of truth, the gospel,
For we know that the whole creation groans together and suffers agony together until now. Not only [this], but we ourselves also, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves [while we] await eagerly [our] adoption, the redemption of our body.
[because we] remember your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,
which we have like an anchor of the soul, both firm and steadfast, and entering into the inside of the curtain,
Therefore, {when you have prepared your minds for action} [by] being self-controlled, put your hope completely in the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that we should be called children of God, and we are! Because of this the world does not know us: because it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever he is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as that one is pure.
