I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house. And immediately the man's ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.

People were completely astounded and said, "He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."

Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow in the desert, streams in the wilderness.

On that day you will be able to speak again; you will talk with the fugitive and be silent no longer. You will be an object lesson for them, and they will know that I am the Lord."
