And the king, straightway sending off one of his guard, gave orders to bring his head; and, departing, he beheaded him in the prison, and brought his head on a dish, and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother.

But a certain man, Simon by name, was in the city before, using sorcery, and astonishing the nation of Samaria, affirming himself to be some great one; to whom all were giving heed, from small to great, saying, "This man is the power of God, which is called Great." Repent, therefore, of this your wickedness, and entreat the Lord, if, perhaps, the thought of your heart may be forgiven you; for I see that you are in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity."
