And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob: from thence is the shepherd the stone of Israel:

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou hast waxed fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my strength, who teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight;

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity: just and right is he.

To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Jesus saith to them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

This is the stone which was set at naught by you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner-stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. To you therefore who believe he is precious: but to them who are disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

Thou sawest till a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain, without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation of it sure.

And whoever shall fall on this stone, shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

To whom coming as to a living stone, disallowed indeed by men, but chosen by God, and precious, Ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner-stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.read more.
