God's eyes are on a person's ways. He sees all his steps.
He gives them security and they are supported. His eyes are upon their ways.
Does he not see my ways and count my every step?
Jehovah looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men. He looks from his dwelling place on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions all their hearts observes and understands all their works.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up. You understand my thought from afar. You inspect my path and my lying down. You are intimately acquainted with my ways.
Can a man hide himself in hiding places so I do not see him? asks Jehovah. Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? Declares Jehovah.
Do not worry! Do not say: 'What shall we eat?' or, 'What shall we drink?' or, 'What shall we wear?' All people go in search of these things. Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Do not seek food and drink and do not worry. For the people of the nations seek after these things. Your Father knows that you need them.
You my son Solomon, learn to know your father's God. Serve Jehovah wholeheartedly and willingly because he searches every heart and understands every thought we have. If you dedicate your life to serving him, he will accept you. On the other hand if you abandon him, he will reject you from then on.
If we forgot the name of our God or stretched out our hands to pray to another god, would God not find out, since he knows the secrets in our hearts?

Samuel did what Jehovah told him. When he came to Bethlehem the elders of the city trembled at his coming. They greeted him and said: May peace be with you. Greetings, he replied, I have come to sacrifice to Jehovah. Perform the ceremonies to make yourselves holy, and come with me to the sacrifice. He said: Jehovah has not chosen this one either. So Jesse brought seven more of his sons to Samuel, but Samuel told Jesse: Jehovah has not chosen any of these. Are these all the sons you have? Samuel asked. There is still the youngest one, Jesse answered. He is tending sheep. Samuel responded: Send someone to get him. We will not continue until he gets here. Jesse sent for him. He was a handsome, healthy young man, and his eyes sparkled. Jehovah said to Samuel: This is the one. Anoint him!
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. They kept back part of the money. His wife was also knowledgeable of the transaction. Then Peter said: How is it that you have agreed together to put Jehovah's Spirit to the test? Look, those who buried your husband are at the door to carry you out. Then she fell down at his feet and died. The young men came in, and found her dead. They carried her out to be buried by her husband.
I see everything that they do. They cannot hide anything from me. Their wickedness cannot be hidden; I can see it.
If you wash with detergent and use a lot of soap, I would still see the stains from your wickedness, says the Lord Jehovah.
It never enters their hearts that I will remember all this evil. But their sins surround them, and I cannot avoid seeing them.
I know you have many transgressions and your sins are great. You afflict the righteous. You take bribes. You refuse to help the needy at the gate.
