He will cause your righteousness to shine like a light, your just cause like the noonday sun.
How blessed are those who pay attention to justice, who practice righteousness at all times!
The righteous will shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears let him hear.
Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked. The arms of the wicked will be broken, but Jehovah sustains the righteous.
Throw your burden upon Jehovah and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken!
Treasures of wickedness (the morally wrong) profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death. Jehovah will not allow the righteous to hunger. He rejects the mischief of the wicked.
Riches do not profit in the day of wrath. Righteousness delivers from death. Righteousness of the undefiled [man of integrity] directs his way! Wickedness causes the evil to fall. Righteousness will deliver the upright. Greed will capture the unfaithful.
Tell the righteous that blessings will come to them. They will taste the fruit of their labor.
He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil. This man will dwell on the heights. His refuge will be the mountain fortress. His bread will be supplied, and he will have water.
Those who have wisdom (insight) will shine like the brightness of the firmament. They turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man helps much.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
They join forces to take the lives of righteous people. They condemn innocent people to death.
The righteous perishes and no man takes it to heart. Merciful men are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil.
Jehovah said: I will not withdraw punishment for (three sins of Israel, even for four) the many transgressions of Israel! They sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes.
I know you have many transgressions and your sins are great. You afflict the righteous. You take bribes. You refuse to help the needy at the gate.
Even if you suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. Do not fear! Do not be troubled (distressed) (intimidated)!
