in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus; who will be punished with everlasting destruction proceeding from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power, when he shall come in that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all who believed; for our testimony to you was believed.
And then will I declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
But the sons of the kingdom will go out into the outer darkness; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
and before him will be gathered all the nations; and he will separate men one from another, as a shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats;
But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and the polluted with abominations, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.
Then will he say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the everlasting fire, which is prepared for the Devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and ye gave me no food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.read more.
Then will they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee? Then will he answer them, saying, Truly do I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these will go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into everlasting life.
He that believeth in the Son hath everlasting life; and he that disobeyeth the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.
But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to be baptized, he said to them, Brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou art treasuring up for thyself wrath against the day of wrath and of the manifestation of the righteous judgment of God,
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivereth us from the coming wrath.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he may smite the nations; and he will rule them with a rod of iron; and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God Almighty. And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And in the underworld he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he called and said, Father Abraham, have pity on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
And lo! they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Son of God? Didst thou come here to torment us before the time?
And the smoke of their torment goeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worshiped the beast and his image, and whoever receiveth the mark of his name.
And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
through which he hath given us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these ye may become partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through lust;
for he that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me, and guarded them; and no one of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
What if God endured with much patience vessels of wrath fitted for destruction, purposing to manifest his wrath and to make known his power;
For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ; whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, whose mind is on earthly things.
Let no one deceive you in any manner; for [that day will not come] unless the apostasy shall have come first and the man of sin have been revealed, the son of perdition;
The beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and is to come up out of the abyss, and goeth into perdition; and they that dwell on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and yet will come.
His winnowingshovel is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshingfloor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.
And if thy hand or thy foot is causing thee to fall, cut it off, and cast it from thee; it is better for thee to enter into life maimed or lame, than having two hands, or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if thine eye is causing thee to fall, pluck it out, and cast it from thee; it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hellfire.
but a certain fearful looking for judgment, and an indignation by fire, which will devour the adversaries.
And the beast was seized and he who was with him, the false prophet who wrought the signs in his presence, with which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast, and who worshipped his image; the two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and cast him out into the outer darkness; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
These are wells without water, and mists driven by a tempest; for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved.
Again therefore he said to them, I go away, and ye will seek me, and will die in your sin. Whither I go, ye cannot come.
For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is everlasting life, through Christ Jesus our Lord.
The last enemy, death, will be destroyed;
And death and the underworld were cast into the lake of fire; this is the second death, the lake of fire. And if any one was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection; on these the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And besides all this, between us and you there is placed a great gulf, so that those who wish to cross from hence to you may not be able, and that those on that side cannot cross over to us.
For it is impossible that those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and been make partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, and have fallen away, should again be renewed to repentance, since they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to open shame.
For if we sin willingly after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remaineth a sacrifice for sins; but a certain fearful looking for judgment, and an indignation by fire, which will devour the adversaries.
and blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their pains and because of their sores; and they repented not of their deeds.
