Then they said to him, What are we to do, that we may work the works of God? Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe in him whom he sent.
[saying,] The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the glad tidings.
and having brought them out, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and thou wilt be saved, and thy household.
Then said Paul, John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people, that they should believe on him that was coming after him; that is, on Jesus.
through whom we received grace and the office of an apostle in behalf of his name, in order to produce obedience to the faith among all nations;
And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and should love one another, as he gave commandment.
Philip saith to him, Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied. Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how is it that thou sayest, Show us the Father? Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not from myself; but the Father, who dwelleth in me, doeth his works.read more.
Believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; but if not, believe for the very works sake.
Faith then cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Did they not hear? Yes truly, "Their voice went forth into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world."
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. He came to his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become children of God,to those who believed in his name;
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of men, who keep down the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which may be known of God is manifest within them; for God made it manifest to them. For, ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, being perceived from his works, are clearly seen, so that they might be without excuse.read more.
Because though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful to him; but became perverse in their reasonings, and their senseless minds were darkened;
What then is the advantage of the Jew? or what the benefit of circumcision? Great, every way. In the first place, because they were entrusted with the oracles of God. For what? If some were unfaithful, shall their unfaithfulness make God unfaithful?read more.
Far be it! yea, let God be true, and every man a liar; as it is written, "That thou mayst be justified in thy words, and mayst overcome when thou art arraigned."
Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which for eternal ages was unrevealed, but is now made manifest, and through the writings of the prophets, by the command of the everlasting God, is made known to all the nations to bring them to obedience to the faith, to God, the only wise, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever! Let not your heart be troubled. Have faith in God, and have faith in me.

But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he doeth it not from faith; but every thing which is not from faith is sin.
One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike: let each one be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it to the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. And he that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth thanks to God; and he that doth not eat, to the Lord he doth not eat, and giveth thanks to God. For none of us liveth to himself, and no one dieth to himself.read more.
For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether then we live or die, we are the Lords.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called Today, that none of you may be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast our first confidence firm to the end.read more.

Afterward he manifested himself to the eleven themselves, as they were reclining at table, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
