Only the trees which thou knowest that they are not trees for food, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that makes war with thee, until it is subdued.

Joshua 11:23

So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD had said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

And Joshua smote them from Kadeshbarnea even unto Gaza and all the country of Goshen even unto Gibeon. All these kings and their lands Joshua took at one time because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel. And Joshua returned and all Israel with him unto the camp to Gilgal.

Judges 1:4

And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanite and the Perizzite into their hands, and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.
