The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken,

My slave Moses is not so, who is faithful in all my house.

who has sent Jesus Christ, who before was preached unto you, whom it is certainly necessary that the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the age began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things doing whatever he shall say unto you.

In that time there shall be an open fountain for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem against sin and against uncleanness.

that he might sanctify and cleanse her in the washing of water by the word, that he might present her glorious for himself, a congregation , not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and its base also of brass, to wash with; and thou shalt place it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, and thou shalt put water in it. And from it Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet. When they go into the tabernacle of the testimony, they shall wash with water that they not die, or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn the offering unto the LORD that must be consumed by fire,

and he brought the ark into the tabernacle and set up the veil of the curtain and covered the ark of the testimony, as the LORD commanded Moses.

And he made the veil of blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and wrought cherubim thereon.

by a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

For he is our peace, who of both has made one, breaking down the middle wall of separation,

and to reconcile both with God by the cross in one body, having slain the enmity thereby;

And if his offering is a sacrifice of peace, if he offers it of the bovine cattle, whether it is male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.

And when he has made an end of reconciling the sanctuary and the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, he shall cause the live he goat to be brought; and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live he goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their rebellions and all their sins, putting them thus upon the head of the he goat and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man prepared for this; and that he goat shall bear upon itself all their iniquities unto an uninhabitable land; and he shall send the he goat into the wilderness.

And David my slave shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd; they shall also walk within my rights and keep my statutes and do them.

And David reigned over all Israel, and David executed justice and righteousness unto all his people.

Then thou didst speak in vision to thy holy one and didst say, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of my people. I have found David my slave; I anointed him with the oil of my holiness,

Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of his grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

whom God purposed for reconciliation through faith in his blood for the manifestation of his righteousness, for the remission of sins that are past, by the patience of God,

And thou shalt make a seat of reconciliation of pure gold; two cubits and a half shall be its length and a cubit and a half its breadth. And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the seat of reconciliation. And make one cherub on the one end and the other cherub on the other end: even of the seat of reconciliation shall ye make the cherubim on the two ends thereof. read more.
And the cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the seat of reconciliation with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the seat of reconciliation shall the faces of the cherubim be. And thou shalt put the seat of reconciliation above upon the ark, and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. And there I will meet with thee, and I will speak with thee from above the seat of reconciliation, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the sons of Israel.

Therefore he is able also to save to the uttermost those that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.

Then Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought forth bread and wine, for he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of the heavens and of the earth; and blessed be the most high God, who has delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And Abram gave him tithes of all.

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom Abraham also gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is King of peace; without father, without mother, without lineage, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God; abides a priest continually. read more.
Now consider how great this one was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. And verily those that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they also have come out of the loins of Abraham; but he whose descent is not counted in those took tithes from Abraham and blessed him that had the promises. And without any contradiction the less is blessed of the better. In the same manner, here men that die take tithes; but there he received them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being transposed, there is made of necessity a translation also of the law. For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe, of which no one presided at the altar. For it is manifest that our Lord sprang out of Juda, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more manifest: if there arises another priest who is like unto Melchisedec, who is not made according to the law of a carnal commandment, but by the virtue of an indissoluble life; for the testimony is of this manner, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a life-giving Spirit.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even in those that did not sin after the manner of the rebellion of Adam, who is a figure of him that was to come.

the priest shall command to take for the one that is to be purified two birds, alive and clean, and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop; and the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel upon living water; then he shall take the living bird and the cedar wood, and the scarlet and the hyssop and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the living water; read more.

And when thy days are fulfilled and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

No one shall be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage; for thou shalt cause this people to inherit the land as an inheritance, which I swore unto their fathers to give them.
