For by the deeds of the law, no flesh shall be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

and in him all that believe are justified from all the things from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if those who are of the law are the heirs, faith is in vain, and the promise annulled, because the law works wrath; for where there is no law, there is no rebellion either.

Moreover the law entered that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound,

knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly sinners, for the evil and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for homosexuals, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,

Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Therefore, we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident, for The just shall live by faith.

Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him will become filled with pride, but the just in his faith shall live.

What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, has found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he has reason to glory in himself, but not before God. For what does the scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.read more.
But unto him that works, the reward is not reckoned as grace, but as debt. But to him that does not work, but believes in him that justifies the ungodly, the faith is counted as righteousness.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident, for The just shall live by faith. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, (for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree), That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

abolishing in his flesh the enmity, which was the law of commandments in the order of rites, to edify in himself the two in one new man, making peace,

For through the law I am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

For sin, having had occasion, deceived me by the commandment and by it killed me. So the law is truly holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

But we know that the law is good, if a man uses it legitimately,

but as he who has called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; for it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

For I am the LORD your God; ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy; neither shall ye defile your souls with any reptile that moves upon the earth. For I am the LORD that causes you to come up out of the land of Egypt to be your God; ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

Speak unto all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say unto them, Ye shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

Sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be ye holy, for I am the LORD your God.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? No, in no wise. But, I did not know sin except by the law; for neither would I have known lust if the law did not say, Thou shalt not covet. Then sin, when there was occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of lust. For without the law sin was as if it were dormant. So that without the law I lived for some time; but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.read more.

Owe no one anything, but love one unto another; for he that loves his neighbour has fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not murder, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet, and if there is any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Charity works no evil to a neighbour; therefore, charity is the fulfillment of the law.

If ye truly fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well; but if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin and are accused of the law as rebels. For whosoever shall have kept the whole law, and then offends in one point is made guilty of all.read more.
For he that said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also, Thou shalt not murder. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou commit murder, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

For that which was impossible to the law, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Behold, the days come, said the LORD, in which I will make a new covenant with the house of Jacob and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt because they invalidated my covenant although I was a husband unto them, said the LORD; But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, said the LORD, I will give my law in their souls and write it in their hearts and will be their God, and they shall be my people.read more.

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh: that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and fulfil them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only do not use liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by charity serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye are not consumed one of another.read more.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
