Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or by our letter.

I beseech you, brethren, bear with my word of exhortation: for I have written to you in few words.

I have written to you in the letter not to associate with lewd persons;

that I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. For his letters, says one, are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his style of speech contemptible. By Sylvanus, a faithful brother to you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.

For verily I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one yod or one point shall in no way pass from the law till all be fulfilled.
