For this reason I solemnly affirm to you this day, that I am clean from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

But after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying: The time has fully come, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the gospel.

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say: Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease, and every kind of sickness among the people.

For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified; to the Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks, foolishness: but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

But if Christ is preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you, that a resurrection of the dead is impossible? But if a resurrection of the dead is impossible, Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then vain is our preaching, and vain also your faith.read more.

but announced first to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

Be it known to you, therefore, brethren, that through this man is preached to you the remission of sins:

and he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus was it necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

To him all the prophets bear testimony, that whoever believes on him shall receive remission of sins through his name.

And they attended constantly to the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.

And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them, and said: It is not right that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

And Barnabas went to Tarsus, to seek for Saul; and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass, that they met together in the church for a whole year, and taught a great multitude; and the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others, the word of the Lord.

And a certain Jew, named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. Finally, then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you, by our Lord Jesus, that as you learned from us how you ought to walk and please God, you would abound more and more. For you know what commandments we gave you by our Lord Jesus.

But do you speak the things that become sound teaching; that the aged men be vigilant, grave, sober-minded, sound in faith, in love, in patience; that the aged women likewise be, in deportment, as it becomes holy women, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of good things,read more.
That they may teach the young women to be sober-minded, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, fond of home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not reviled. Exhort the young men likewise to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself an example of good works; in teaching, showing incorruptness, gravity, sound speech that can not be condemned; that he that is opposed may be ashamed, seeing he has no evil thing to say of us. Exhort servants to be subject to their own masters, and to please them well in all things, not contradicting, not stealing, but showing all good faithfulness, that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in all things. For the grace of God, which brings salvation to all men, has appeared, teaching us, that denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in the present age; looking for the blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Speak these things, and exhort and rebuke with all strictness. Let no one despise you.

preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and teaching.

And as they were departing from the synagogue, they were requested to speak these things to them on the next sabbath. Now, after the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them, and persuaded them to continue faithful to the grace of God.

and when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, that through many afflictions we mast enter the kingdom of God.

And when he had gone through those regions, and had exhorted them with many words, he came into Greece.

What, then, is it, brethren? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has something to teach, has an unknown tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. If any speak in an unknown tongue, let two, or, at most, three, speak at each meeting, and in succession: and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church: but let him speak to himself, and to God.read more.
Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge: and if any thing be revealed to one who is sitting by, let the first be silent. For you can all prophesy, one by one, that all may learn, and all may be encouraged;

and the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses, these do you commit to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Now, I praise you, brethren, because you remember me in all things, and keep the traditions as I delivered them to you.

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or by our letter.

Hold fast the form of sound words which you have heard from me, in faithfulness and in love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was intrusted to you, keep by the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

As, on going into Macedonia, I besought you to remain in Ephesus, that you might charge some that they teach no other thing, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which produce disputes rather than godly edification, which is in faith;

I am astonished that you are so soon turning away from him that called you into the grace of Christ, to another gospel: which is nothing else than that there are some who trouble you, and are determined to pervert the gospel of the Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach to you any other gospel than that which we have preached, let him be ac cursed.read more.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God, and by prayer. By recommending these things to the attention of the brethren, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, being nourished with the words of the faith, and of good teaching, which you have fully known. But reject those profane and oldwomanish fables, and exercise yourself for godliness.
