For LORD thy God is a merciful God. He will not fail thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore to them.
But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and destroyed not. Yea, many a time he turned his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people, for ye were the fewest of all peoples, but because LORD loves you.
