Is this how you repay the Lord, you foolish, unwise people? Is he not your father, your creator? He has made you and established you.

Yet, Lord, you are our father. We are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the product of your labor.

Do we not all have one father? Did not one God create us? Why do we betray one another, in this way making light of the covenant of our ancestors?

As for the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. He is a reliable God who is never unjust, he is fair and upright.

I will bring them out from among the peoples and gather them from foreign countries; I will bring them to their own land. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Then Jesus spoke out again, "I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

Then I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever --

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father -- the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father -- he will testify about me,

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.

The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

But it is a spirit in people, the breath of the Almighty, that makes them understand.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

If God were to set his heart on it, and gather in his spirit and his breath,

The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Let us rejoice and exult and give him glory, because the wedding celebration of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death." Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and spoke to me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!"

And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say: "Come!" And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.
