And Jesus coming into Peter's house, saw his wife's mother lying sick of a fever.

And coming out of the synagogue, they entered forthwith into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was ill of a fever, and they besought him for her.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were also in the vessel, mending their nets: And he called them; and immediately leaving their father Zebedee in the vessel with the hired servants, they went after him.

Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John speak and followed him. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah (which is, being interpreted the Christ.) And he brought him to Jesus. And Jesus looking upon him, said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonah; thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, Peter.

And Simon's wife's mother lay ill of a fever, and immediately they tell him of her. And he came and taking her by the hand, lifted her up; and straightway the fever left her, and she waited on them.

And when he came into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? Of their own sons, or of strangers? Yet that we may not offend them, go to the sea, and cast an hook, and take the fish that first cometh up. And when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money. That take and give them for me and thee.

When he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. But Simon answering said to him, Master, Having toiled all the night, we have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word, I will let down the net. And having done this, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes, and their net brake.read more.
And they beckoned to their partners, who were in the other boat, to come and help them; and they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. Simon Peter seeing it, fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

And after six days, Jesus taketh Peter and James and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Then cometh Jesus with them to a place called Gethsemane, and saith to the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and in deep anguish.

And they come to a place named Gethsemane; and he saith to his disciples, Sit here while I shall pray. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John; and he began to be sore amazed and in deep anguish, And saith to them,

And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

And coming into the house, he suffered none to go in, save Peter and James and John, and the father and mother of the maiden.

Then answered Peter and said to him, Declare to us this parable.

Then came Peter to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?

He saith to them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answering said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And he saith to them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answering saith to him, Thou art the Christ.

He said to them, but whom say ye, that I am?

Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we have believed and known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Then answered Peter and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

And Peter answering faith to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

And just as they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tents, ane for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah, not knowing what he said.

Then answered Peter and said to him, Behold we have forsaken all, and followed thee. What shall we have therefore?

And Peter said to him, Lo, we have left all and followed thee. And Jesus answering said,

And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And having found him, they say to him, All men seek thee.

Then Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him, saying, Favour thyself, Lord: this shall in no wise be unto thee.

And he spake that saying openly.

Peter saith to him, If I must die with thee, yet will I in no wise deny thee. In like manner also said all the disciples.

But he said the more vehemently, If I must die with thee, I will in no wise deny thee. In like manner also said they all.

And he said to him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death.

Peter saith to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.

Then cometh he to Simon Peter, who saith to him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said to him, What I do, thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right-ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

And Jesus answering said to him, Happy art thou, Simon Barjonah; for flesh and blood have not revealed this to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say also to thee, Thou art Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

But he turning said to Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan; thou art an offence to me: for thou savourest not the things of God, but the things of men.

And Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him. But he turning about, and looking on his disciples rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou savourest not the things of God, but the things of men.

Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, before cock-crowing thou wilt deny me thrice.

Jesus saith to him, Verily I say to thee, That thou to-day, this night, before the cock crow twice, wilt deny me thrice.

And he said, I tell thee, Peter, it shall not be the time of cockcrowing this day, before thou wilt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily I say to thee, the cock shall not have crowed, till thou hast denied me thrice.

And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith to Peter, What! Could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing; but the flesh is weak.

And he cometh and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest thou not watch one hour? Watch and pray, lest ye enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right-ear. The servant's name was Malchus. Then said Jesus to Peter, Put up the sword into its scabbard. The cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him, saith to Jesus, Lord, what shall this man do? Jesus saith to him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee?

Now Peter sat without in the hall. And one of the maid-servants came to him saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said to them that were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.read more.
And again he denied with an oath, I know not the man. And after a while they that stood by, came and said to Peter, Surely thou art also one of them; for thy speech discovereth thee. Then began he to curse and to swear, I know not the man.

And as Peter was in the hall below, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest. And seeing Peter warming himself, she looked on him and said, Thou wast also with Jesus of Nazareth. But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou meanest. And he went out into the porch, and the cock crew.read more.
And the maid saw him again, and said to them that stood by, This is one of them. And he denied it again. And a little after, those that stood by, said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them; for thou art a Galilean, and thy speech agreeth thereto. Then he began to curse and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

Then took they him, and led him, and brought him to the high-priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were sat down together, Peter sat down among them. But a certain maid seeing him as he sat by the light, and looking earnestly upon him, said, This man also was with him.read more.
But he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. And after a while another saw him and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not. And about one hour after, another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him, for he is a Galilean. And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou meanest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.

Now Simon Peter followed Jesus, and another disciple. That disciple was known to the high priest, and went with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. But Peter stood at the door without: therefore the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out, and spake to her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. Then saith the maid, who kept the door, to Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples?read more.
He saith, I am not. And the servants and officers, having made a fire of coals (for it was cold) stood and warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them and warmed himself.

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said to him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied and said, I am not. One of the servants of the high priest (being kinsman to him whose ear Peter had cut off) saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? Peter denied again, and immediately the cock crew.

And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who said to him, Before cock-crowing thou wilt deny me thrice. And he went out and wept bitterly.

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, Before the cock crow twice, thou wilt deny me thrice. And he covered his head and wept.

And the Lord turning looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, Before cock-crowing, thou wilt deny me thrice. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

And rising up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven met together, and them that were with them, saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

according to the scriptures, And that he was buried, and that he was raised the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. Afterwards he was seen by above five hundred brethren at once,

When they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me more than these do? He saith to him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again, the second time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? He saith to him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my sheep. He saith to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep.
