Verily, verily I say unto thee, When thou wast younger, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst about where thou wouldest: but when thou art old, thou shalt stretch out thine hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee where thou wouldest not. But God being rich in mercy, through his great love wherewith He loved us, hath made us alive in Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (for by grace ye are saved) and hath raised us up together,

For our gospel came not to you in word only, but also in power, and in the holy Ghost, and in much certainty; as ye know what sort of persons we were among you for your sakes.

for which cause I remind thee to stir up the gift of God which is in thee through the imposition of my hands.
