Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be reduced to rubble; because there is no other god who is able to deliver in this way." Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the language of Lycaonia, "The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men." They called Barnabas "Jupiter," and Paul "Mercury," because he was the chief speaker. And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll, or to look in it.

They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
