If there is a controversy between men, and they come to judgment, and the judges judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked;
He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, "That is true."
Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.

But the tax collector, standing far away, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner.' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."
For the LORD is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of the LORD.
My tongue shall talk about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name by which he shall be called: 'The LORD our righteousness.'
But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Righteous Father, the world hasn't known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.
For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith."
even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all those who believe. For there is no distinction,
He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight," says the LORD.
Won't God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war.
Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn't the Judge of all the earth do right?"
I therefore have not sinned against you, but you do me wrong by making war against me. The LORD, the Judge, be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon."
Against you, and you only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.
Hear, you mountains, the LORD's controversy, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel.
But I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

And neither shall you crave your neighbor's house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."
The LORD's Law is perfect, restoring the soul. The LORD's testimony is sure, making wise the simple.
For the LORD is our judge. The LORD is our lawgiver. The LORD is our king. He will save us.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Do not enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is righteous.
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
For we have all become as one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is as a polluted garment: and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the Law and the Prophets;
"We, being Jews by birth, and not Gentile sinners, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
I do not make void the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing."
I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
But when Cephas came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned.
You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more: circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.read more.
However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain Christ
