'Asked' in the Bible
And he asked for a writing tablet and wrote as follows, “His name is John.” And they were all astonished.
The crowds asked him, “Then what are we to do?”
Some soldiers asked him, “And what about us, what are we to do?” And he replied to them, “Do not extort money from anyone or harass or blackmail anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.”
But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to eat with him, and He went into the Pharisee’s house [in the region of Galilee] and reclined at the table.
Now His disciples began asking Him what this parable meant.
Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, “Legion”; because many demons had entered him.
Then all the people of the country of the Gerasenes and the surrounding district asked Him to leave them, because they were overwhelmed with fear. So Jesus got into the boat and returned [to the west side of the Sea of Galilee].
Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and He looked up to heaven [and gave thanks] and blessed them, and broke them and kept giving them to the disciples to set before the crowd.
Now it happened that as Jesus was praying privately, the disciples were with Him, and He asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”
And someone asked Him, “Lord, will only a few be saved [from the penalties of the last judgment]?” And He said to them,
And Jesus asked the lawyers and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”
Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten [of you] cleansed? Where are the [other] nine?
Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display;
And they asked Him, “Where, Lord?” He answered, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will be gathered.”
A certain ruler asked Him, “Good Teacher [You who are essentially and morally good], what shall I do to inherit eternal life [that is, eternal salvation in the Messiah’s kingdom]?”
Now when he heard a crowd going by, he began to ask what this was [about].
Then Jesus stopped and ordered that the blind man be led to Him; and when he came near, Jesus asked him,
They asked Him, “Teacher, we know that You speak and teach correctly, and that You show no partiality to anyone, but teach the way of God truthfully.
and they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us [a law that] if a man’s brother dies, leaving a wife and no children, his brother should marry the wife and raise children for his brother.
Then He said to them, “How is it that people say that the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) is David’s son?
They asked Him, “Teacher, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to happen?”
“Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has demanded permission to sift [all of] you like grain;
They blindfolded Him and asked, “Prophesy, who is it that struck You?”
So Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answered him, “It is just as you say.”
When Pilate heard it, he asked whether the man was a Galilean.
And he questioned Him at some length, but Jesus made no reply.
Pilate pronounced sentence that their demand be granted.
this man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
And it happened that as He reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them.
