'Back' in the Bible
Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back. I will pay you tomorrow," when you have cash with you.
Those who give freely gain even more; others hold back what they owe, becoming even poorer.
What a fool says brings a rod to his back, but the words of the wise protect them.
The lazy person buries his hand in his dish and doesn't bother to bring it back to his mouth.
All day long he continues to crave, while the righteous person gives without holding back.
Don't say, "I'll do to him like he did to me, I'll be sure to pay him back for what he did."
A whip is for the horses, a bridle is for the donkey, a rod is for the back of fools.
