'Cursed' in the Bible
Then the Lord God said to the serpent:Because you have done this,you are cursed more than any livestockand more than any wild animal.You will move on your bellyand eat dust all the days of your life.
And He said to Adam, “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘Do not eat from it’:The ground is cursed because of you.You will eat from it by means of painful laborall the days of your life.
So now you are cursed, alienated, from the ground that opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood you have shed.
And he named him Noah, saying, “This one will bring us relief from the agonizing labor of our hands, caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.”
he said:Canaan will be cursed.He will be the lowest of slaves to his brothers.
May peoples serve youand nations bow down to you.Be master over your brothers;may your mother’s sons bow down to you.Those who curse you will be cursed,and those who bless you will be blessed.

How can I curse someone God has not cursed?How can I denounce someone the Lord has not denounced?
He crouches, he lies down like a lionor a lioness—who dares to rouse him?Those who bless you will be blessed,and those who curse you will be cursed.
‘The person who makes a carved idol or cast image, which is detestable to the Lord, the work of a craftsman, and sets it up in secret is cursed.’And all the people will reply, ‘Amen!’

‘The one who sleeps with his sister, whether his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’
‘The one who sleeps with his mother-in-law is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’
‘The one who secretly kills his neighbor is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’
‘The one who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’
‘Anyone who does not put the words of this law into practice is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’
You will be cursed in the cityand cursed in the country.
Your basket and kneading bowl will be cursed.
Your descendants will be cursed,and your land’s produce,the young of your herds,and the newborn of your flocks.
You will be cursed when you come inand cursed when you go out.
At that time Joshua imposed this curse:The man who undertakesthe rebuilding of this city, Jericho,is cursed before the Lord.He will lay its foundationat the cost of his firstborn;he will set up its gatesat the cost of his youngest.

Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written: Everyone who does not continue doing everything written in the book of the law is cursed.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.
But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and will be burned at the end.
