'Day' in the Bible
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,on the day of testing in the wilderness,
for somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this way:And on the seventh dayGod rested from all His works.
again, He specifies a certain day—today—speaking through David after such a long time, as previously stated:Today, if you hear His voice,do not harden your hearts.
For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
He doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do—first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all when He offered Himself.
not like the covenantthat I made with their ancestorson the day I took them by their handsto lead them out of the land of Egypt.I disregarded them, says the Lord, because they did not continue in My covenant.
Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins.
not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
