'Desires' in the Bible
Then Saul replied, “Say this to David: ‘The king desires no other bride-price except 100 Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.’” Actually, Saul intended to cause David’s death at the hands of the Philistines.
Because his appetite is never satisfied,he does not let anything he desires escape.
But He is unchangeable; who can oppose Him?He does what He desires.
May He give you what your heart desiresand fulfill your whole purpose.
Take delight in the Lord,and He will give you your heart’s desires.
Lord, do not grant the desires of the wicked;do not let them achieve their goals.Otherwise, they will become proud.Selah
He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him;He hears their cry for help and saves them.

A wicked person desires evil;he has no consideration for his neighbor.
God gives a man riches, wealth, and honor so that he lacks nothing of all he desires for himself, but God does not allow him to enjoy them. Instead, a stranger will enjoy them. This is futile and a sickening tragedy.
Because of his sinful greed I was angry,so I struck him; I was angry and hid;but he went on turning back to the desires of his heart.
