One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,To behold the beauty of the LordAnd to meditate in His temple.
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David.I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up,And have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house;And You give them to drink of the river of Your delights.
These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me.For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God,With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.
Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear:Forget your people and your father’s house;
