'Mean' in the Bible

“Say now to the rebellious house, ‘Do you not know (realize) what these things mean?’ Tell them, ‘Hear this, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and took its king [Jehoiachin] and its princes and brought them with him to Babylon.

“What do you mean by using this proverb concerning the land of Israel,‘The fathers eat sour grapes [they sin],But the children’s teeth are set on edge’?

The people said to me, “These things that you are doing—tell us, what do they mean for us?”

When your people say to you, ‘Will you not tell us what you mean by these?’
