'Replied' in the Bible
The angel replied and said to him, “I am Gabriel; I stand and minister in the [very] presence of God, and I have been sent [by Him] to speak to you and to bring you this good news.
And John replied, “The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do the same.”
Some soldiers asked him, “And what about us, what are we to do?” And he replied to them, “Do not extort money from anyone or harass or blackmail anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.”
Jesus replied to him, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’”
Jesus replied to him, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.’”
Jesus replied to him, “It is said [in Scripture], ‘you shall not tempt the Lord your God [to prove Himself to you].’”
And Jesus replied to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but [only] those who are sick.
Jesus replied to them, “Have you not even read [in the Scriptures] what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him—
So He replied to them, “Go and tell John about everything you have seen and heard: the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the good news (gospel) preached to them.
And He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter replied, “The Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) of God!”
He said to another, “Follow Me [accepting Me as Master and Teacher].” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
And he replied, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he encountered robbers, who stripped him of his clothes [and belongings], beat him, and went their way [unconcerned], leaving him half dead.
But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things;
Jesus replied to them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans because they have suffered in this way?
But he replied to him, ‘Let it alone, sir, [just] one more year until I dig around it and put in fertilizer;
But the Lord replied to him, “You hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders)! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it?
Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display;
He replied, “I have kept all these things from my youth.”
Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these [people] keep silent, the stones will cry out [in praise]!”
Jesus replied, “I will also ask you a question. You tell Me:
So they replied that they did not know from where it came.
Some of the scribes replied, “Teacher, you have spoken well [so that there is no room for blame].”
