'Wool' in the Bible

“When a garment has a mark of leprosy in it, whether it is a wool garment or a linen garment,

whether in woven or knitted material or in the warp (lengthwise strands) or woof (crosswise strands) of linen or of wool, or in a skin or on anything made of leather,

So he shall burn the garment, whether the warp or woof, in wool or linen, or on anything made of leather in which the mark occurs; for it is a malignant leprosy; it shall be burned in the fire.

This is the law for a leprous disease in a garment of wool or linen, either in the warp or woof, or on anything made of leather, to pronounce it clean or unclean.

‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear clothing of two kinds of material mixed together.

“You shall not wear a fabric made of wool and linen blended together [a fabric pagans believed to be magical].

behold, I will put a fleece of [freshly sheared] wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece, and it is dry on all the ground [around it], then I will know that You will rescue Israel through me, as You have said.”

He gives [to the earth] snow like [a blanket of] wool;He scatters the frost like ashes.

She looks for wool and flaxAnd works with willing hands in delight.
