Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
1 John 4:12
No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
1 John 2:5
keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:
You see that
faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;
1 John 2:28
little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
1 John 3:19
We will know by this that we are
of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him
judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.
Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
Nevertheless I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment.

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

But by His word
the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
1 John 3:3
And everyone who has this
hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!
Remember the word that I said to you, ‘ A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
For those whom He
foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Peter 3:16
and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.
