Solomon's Enemies

²⁶ Jeroboam rebelled against the king. He was the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite from Zeredah, a servant of Solomon, whose mother was Zeruah, a widow. ²⁷ Now this was the reason why he rebelled against the king: Solomon built the Millo, and closed up the breach of the city of his father David. ²⁸ Jeroboam was a capable and responsible man. Solomon saw that he was a good worker and made him overseer of all the work given to the sons of Joseph.

1 Kings 9:24

Solomon filled in the land on the east side of the city, after his wife, the daughter of the king of Egypt, had moved from David's City to the palace Solomon built for her.
